Homemade Christmas Gifts

UPDATE INFO AT THE END OF THIS POST

I am finally getting around to showing you all some of the gifts that I made this past Christmas. I am the type of person who wants the gift to be special, something that says "You are important to me". Gifts don't necessarily have to be expensive, they should be something that should be given out of love, thoughtfulness and sometimes necessity. As you will see I spent a few hours with the paints at my kitchen table and it has some "war wounds" to show for it! I know none of these are just out of this world spectacular but I was pretty darn pleased with myself!

As you can see from the above I really got excited about the picture frames!
(that isn't all of them either)
The hardest thing about the picture frames was cutting the plexiglass!

Here is a better picture of the plaque that I made for my mom.
Pictures can't do it justice, it turned out so pretty!

These coasters were so super easy and they turned out great! I even made a set for myself.

I painted & decorated this photo storage box and filled it with black tulle and stationary for FIL's wife and I kinda wanted to keep it for myself! Pictures just don't do it justice.

I made this for my parents and my FIL, except they didn't say mom & dad. ; )
(I forgot to take pics of the ones I made for them)

This was the gift I loved the most! These are 8x10 flat canvas' that I framed in thick dark wood frames. (I wish I would have gotten a picture of them in the frames, they were awesome!) I made this for my dad and my FIL because they are both absolutely mush when it comes to their grandsons! It makes my heart so happy that my boys not only have an AMAZING father but that they have two wonderful grandfathers that love them dearly and aren't afraid to show it!
(I will try and post a better picture next time I am at my parent's)

First, thank you for all of your sweet comments! Second, here is those better pictures I promised AND 3rd...(drum roll please).....I have decided to post some of my new crafts on my ETSY page so go take a look and please pass on the link to any frivolous spenders that you know! ; ) If ever I post a craft that you would like to purchase just send me a message and I will set up a private listing for you!

OK... I love them all!!! I hear your ETSY store calling. You need to put your frames in it, and I love the hands board. What a wonderful idea.

Oh, Jess, they are all awesome! I can't believe you put plexiglass, I just gave them without any! You are way thoughtful! I love my frame, and have it sitting in our front room. It also made it's way on our Christmas tree! I love the striped one also! What a great idea on the hand prints! That is an adorable thing to remember for Father's Day!

Can I ask what you sprayed the coasters with, my Sis and I made these a couple years ago, and the ink came off them even after they were sprayed with (can't remember what is was now) Thanks!!

I want the stationary box, the frames, and I want to totally copy you and do those cute handprints. Too bad that whenever I've attempted to get my kid's handprints in the past, they turn out horrible! Any secrets???
