Happy Father's Day!

This was Joe's Father's Day gift from the "boys". I LOVE it!!!! I got it at this Etsy shop. This shop is so very fan-freakin-tastic! You bird/nest lovers will surely find something!

What a weekend! We had time with friends and family and now my, almost better, toe is throbbing!!!!

For the past few weekends we have needed to take Devin to get a hair cut but one thing after another comes up and we don't make it... Saturday I couldn't take it any longer and decided to pull out the "bust a wig" kit. I was a little nervous that he was going to look like his mommy cut his hair but if all else failed I knew that I could just buzz it off...after all it is summer in Tejas!

I am SO proud that it turned out good! I forget how much hair this child has and there was hair ALL OVER the kitchen! I got over the mess very quickly when I realized that I saved us $30 and the unpleasant visit to the kiddie hair salon.

On Saturday we celebrated Father's Day with my family and enjoyed a lazy afternoon by the pool. Devin is such a little fish and it turns out that so is Corbin. This was Corbin's first time in the pool and it brought back memories of Devin's first swim...how time flies!!!

As usual I forgot to take my camera when we went to visit with Joe's dad today but next time I promise to get MANY pictures! Devin and Corbin always enjoy time with PePa and I have a feeling that PePa enjoys it just as much. ; )

Homemade Christmas Gifts

UPDATE INFO AT THE END OF THIS POST

I am finally getting around to showing you all some of the gifts that I made this past Christmas. I am the type of person who wants the gift to be special, something that says "You are important to me". Gifts don't necessarily have to be expensive, they should be something that should be given out of love, thoughtfulness and sometimes necessity. As you will see I spent a few hours with the paints at my kitchen table and it has some "war wounds" to show for it! I know none of these are just out of this world spectacular but I was pretty darn pleased with myself!

As you can see from the above I really got excited about the picture frames!

The hardest thing about the picture frames was cutting the plexiglass!

Pictures can't do it justice, it turned out so pretty!

These coasters were so super easy and they turned out great! I even made a set for myself.

I painted & decorated this photo storage box and filled it with black tulle and stationary for FIL's wife and I kinda wanted to keep it for myself! Pictures just don't do it justice.




I made this for my parents and my FIL, except they didn't say mom & dad. ; )

This was the gift I loved the most! These are 8x10 flat canvas' that I framed in thick dark wood frames. (I wish I would have gotten a picture of them in the frames, they were awesome!) I made this for my dad and my FIL because they are both absolutely mush when it comes to their grandsons! It makes my heart so happy that my boys not only have an AMAZING father but that they have two wonderful grandfathers that love them dearly and aren't afraid to show it!

(I will try and post a better picture next time I am at my parent's)

Glitter & Bliss Announces...

As promised they have delivered these Paris inspired crystals for Something Simple. They now have fairy magnets available too! They plan to put both the Paris necklaces and magnets on ETSY sometime today. The cost will be $12.00 for the necklaces and $4.00 for the magnets. They can customize both with any message/word you'd like. They are also working on placing these little fairies w/ words on 2" crystal pendants. These are going to make precious crystal necklaces as well. Check their blog for those pics later! (I ADORE the Oh LaLa crystal necklace!!!)
