Westin King Russo
I am thrilled to announce that Westin has made his grand entrance into the world! He was born on Sunday at 8:24 pm, weighing 8 pounds and measuring 20 inches long. He is perfection!!! We came home yesterday afternoon and Devin and Corbin both welcomed him with "open arms". We feel so blessed that he arrived safely and healthy! God is good!!!

Here he is...
Introducing Westin King Russo!

At today's doctor appointment she did another sonogram and we, Devin and I, got to see Westin. No matter how many children I have I am still in awe of the miracle happening inside of me! Devin LOVED all the attention he got from the nurses! He is already quit the ladies man...
Westin has been moving around quit a bit, I am excited to be able to let Devin and Corbin feel him kicking!

Sonogram Results
Baby Russo was all over the place during the sonogram today! ...And it looks like I am still going to be the only female in the house! I am so excited to have another little boy. Boys are so sweet! The doc says he looks healthy and we are still looking at May 8th as the due date. I am scheduled to go back in 4 weeks for another sonogram to get more measurements. Devin was very interested in what was happening, he was giving us a play by play of what he was seeing on the monitor. I can hardly wait to meet our little guy!

Pins & Needles!
Tomorrow is sonogram day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited to see our baby and have thought of little else all day! I am excited to have Devin and my mom go with us, we thought it would be neat for Devin to be able and see his new little brother/sister. We all know that I am hoping for a girl but honestly I will love and adore our baby no matter what the sex is. Our children are the greatest blessings and all we really care is that they are happy and HEALTHY! (but I REALLY hope that they baby cooperates and we are able to confirm the sex) Check back tomorrow evening to find out the sex!

Heart Flutters

I had my first appointment with a new OB and she was AWESOME!!!!! I loved the office staff, the nurses, the doc, everyone was great. I got to hear the heartbeat and it was quit a bit higher than Devin & Corbin's were. Theirs was always in the 140s and this baby's was around 160. You know they say girls have higher heart rates.... ; ) Joe had to stay home with the boys so he didn't get to hear it. : ( We have an appointment scheduled on the 16th for a sonogram!!!!! I can hardly wait to see our new addition! So if the baby decides to cooperate we will know the sex on the 16th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May Showers...
I had my first OB appointment yesterday and got to "see" the baby. All we could really see was the flickering heart but the doctor mentioned several times that the heartbeat looked really strong. According to the ultrasound I am about 7 weeks along but it was hard for her to get a good "reading" since the baby is still sooooo tiny. I have another appointment scheduled in two weeks to do another ultrasound to get more precise measurements. As of now the tentative due date is May 8th, I don't think we could have planned to have it any closer to Devin's birthday. (April 20th) Yesterday morning I didn't have time to eat breakfast before my appointment and I was super queasy and after the nurse took blood I tried to sit up too fast and got SICK! I was so mortified.I hate to throw up but to throw up in public and in front of someone makes it even worse!
This is what our baby should look like right now. How amazing is that!

YES! The Russo home will be BLESSED with another little bundle of joy!
I haven't been to the doctor yet...but by our own "guesstimates" I am around 8 weeks PREGNANT! Joe and I weren't planning this but are so pleasantly surprised! We didn't think there was any possible way that we would be able to conceive without fertility drugs but God does still work miracles! We thank God for this miracle and pray for a happy and HEALTHY baby!

Corbin Has Arrived!
We are still getting settled with our new arrival but wanted to update everyone. Corbin Lee Russo arrived on September 24th at 5:32 PM weighing 8 ponds and 14 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. He is perfect and is eating and sleeping like a champ! Devin is adjusting well to his new brother and loves to kiss on him! We couldn't be happier!

No News Is Good News
Nothing new to report. Corbin is cooperating and staying nice and cozy in mommy's tummy. I have been feeling really good just taking it easy so I don't tempt him to make his entrance yet. Yesterday I had a day of pampering at the salon and we had my family over for dinner. Joe has been super dad today taking care of laundry, vacuuming, yard stuff and keeping Devin occupied. We had high hopes of doing something fun with Devin but I just don't have the energy to get out and do much. If everything goes as planned and we induce on Wed. morning Devin will be staying the night with his Auntie Jenn for the very first time on Tuesday night. We have never been very good about Devin staying the night anywhere. It's not that we think something bad will happen or he won't have fun...Joe and I just really enjoy him. He is such a good boy and is so much fun, it is boring without him! My mom constantly gives me a hard time about it and I know that it is good for him to have time with others that love him. Maybe with having two kids Joe and I will feel like we need a break every once in a while. I posted a few pics of Devin playing outside today and one of him all tuckered out with his PaPi last night. Enjoy!

Quick Update
I had my last OB appointment yesterday for this pregnancy. I am fully effaced and dilated to 3 cm. (the doctor was able to fell Corbin's head...pretty wild!) She said that it is very possible that I could have a baby by this weeks end but it is equally possible that he will hang in there until induction day. I am really hoping that he wants to hang around until the 24th. Since the hospital is an hour from where we live and we have Devin it would be much less stressful if we could just stick with the plan...but somehow I don't think our plan matters in the whole scheme of things... The really attractive part of being induced is that since I am fully effaced and dilated that I can get the epidural as soon as they start the Pitosin! That would be just spectacular! Let us know if you want to be on the "Corbin is here" notification list.

He Is Almost Here!
Corbin is still hangin in there, we just might make it to the induction day! There was no change at my OB appointment on Wed. I have my last OB appointment scheduled for next Tues, I am going to kind of miss going to the doctor so often. (it gives me an excuse to get out of the house) My father-in-law swears that Corbin is going to be here on the 15th...but if we do make it to the scheduled day we only have 12 more days!!!!!
More good news is that Gina (my sister-in-law) will be back in Washington from Afghanistan on the 20th! We are all anxious to have here back on US ground! This should be her last deployment before getting out of the Navy next July. Yah!
My parents got back from their cruise yesterday and came by last night to pick up the dog. Yesterday was my dad's birthday so I had baked a yummy cake for us to nibble on when they were over. (pretty soon I won't have an excuse to eat pastries whenever I want) They had a great time on their trip but got stuck in the evacuee traffic coming out of Galveston so they were beat from the drive.
Tomorrow I am going to a bridal shower for Jenn, my sister, and if I am up for it over to my parent's to work on wedding stuff with Jennifer and mom. Sunday I think Joe and I are going to try to do something special with Devin. We feel like we should since pretty soon he will have to share the spotlight and it will be a little difficult to get out of the house for a while.
Better go, Devin is tugging on me to cuddle with him.

When Will He Arrive...?
Not much to report... We are hoping that Corbin will wait to make his grand entrance for at least another week. Friday I had an OB appointment and I am dilated to a "Very Good 1" and am 50% effaced. The doc says that it is doubtful that I will even make it to my scheduled induction date. She also said that this is pretty advanced for my due date. We had Jeremy & Brittany over for dinner on Saturday evening and I experienced pretty severe and consistent contractions all night. It gave me a good enough scare that I have bags packed for the hospital and Corbin's car seat is in the car. I am excited for him to be here, and ready to have him out of my body, but he needs all the time he can get in there. I am pretty uncomfortable and exhausted most of the time and I am so thankful that Devin is such a good independent player.
Speaking of Devin and playing...he has a new fun game for Joe and I...Magnadoodle Pictionary... He LOVES LOVES LOVES to bring his magnadoodle to Joe or I and tells us "Color", this means to draw and picture and let him guess what it is. (a car, monkey, WALL-E, etc) He is surprisingly really good at guessing what mommy and daddy's bad art is. It is really cute how much he loves this and will want us to do it for hours.... ; )
We are dog sitting this week for my parents, they are on a cruise, and Devin is totally excited about having the dog. Devin is freakishly in love with any dog! "PUPPY! PUPPY!" He has recently developed a skin allergy to dogs and he gets so mad when we won't let him touch dogs. (if he rubs against a dog he breaks out in a nasty rash) It is so sad...
That's it for today. I have another OB appointment this Wed. I will try to keep everyone updated on the status of Corbin's arrival.

Here is a pic of Joe and I from the baby shower a few weeks ago, you can see that the swelling has begun. That is the last day I was able to wear my wedding ring. : (

Ready To Burst
Today Devin and I ventured out into the heat to run a few errands and it may be one of the last times I do so before Corbin arrives. I kept the errands to a minimum and wasn't even gone from the house more than two hours but it wore me out. My second, and last, stop was at Target and the pressure of Corbin was almost too much to walk around the store! I am so thankful that I am not working outside of the home during this pregnancy, much respect to mommys that do!
Devin has officially hit the "Terrible Twos"! We have had more time outs in the past two days that we have in 4 months! Last Friday Joe worked from home, I was having pretty severe braxton hicks, and Devin was an angel until Monday when daddy went back to work. I think he really misses Joe during the day and throws fits in the evenings to get extra attention from daddy... Hopefully we can work these fits out before little brother arrives.
I am getting anxious and nervous about Corbin's arrival. I want to be able to give Corbin all of the love and attention that I was able to give Devin as an infant but at the same time I am terrified of Devin feeling left out... My mom says that I will find a balance that works for us and the boys. (it is amazing how wise my mother gets the older I get) I guess a lot of moms have this kind of "anxiety" before the 2nd or 3rd or 4th is born. Before Devin was born I loved him but I had no idea how much I would love him once he was born. The love you feel for your child is like no other love, it is all consuming...my heart may just burst after Corbin is born!

Nesting
I am so excited to be able to post this! My mom was able to clear some time out for me and came out today to do Corbin's bedding! We still want to make a quilt and some decorative pillows but we got the bumper pad, sheet and dust ruffle done. I am so thrilled with the results! My mom just got a new sewing machine and there was no way I could have done all of this on my machine! Anywho...thought I would post a few pics of the nursery so far. Joe and I have quit a few more things to do in there but hopefully we can get it done this weekend!

The Countdown Continues
I just got back from the doctor's office and we have scheduled a date to induce!!! The end is in sight! Joe doesn't like for me to post personal information so if you want to know when and where shoot me an email. On the way home I was thinking about the day that we scheduled Devin's delivery and I can't believe how time flies! Devin is an amazing little boy and he has been such a blessing to us... I can't believe that God is giving us another blessing! I can't wait to see what Corbin looks like, to hear that first cry and to hold him in my arms!
So I took some pictures of Devin in his playroom this morning and wanted to share a few. Have a good day!

Let's Move To Alaska!
This weekend was just what I needed, lots of friends and family! It is so nice to be surounded by such great people! The only bad thing about the weekend that it was HOT!!!! At one point the gauge in my car was 103! It is torture to live in Texas in your last trimester of pregnancy thru the summer!
Last night we got to see some friends that were in town from Washington and finally got to meet their sweet 9 month old little boy. (it was good to see you John and Tammie) Today we went by Amy and Stephen's home to see their newest addition, Ashton Patrick. They had lots of family over to see the baby so I am very much looking forward to our next visit to get my turn holding that sweet new baby! On our way back from there we stopped off at Joe's dad's house and had dinner which was wonderful as always! My favorite part was dessert, a peanut butter pie. It was a pregnant woman's dream come true! Devin LOVES to explore at his PePa and Grandma Mary's house! (it wears mommy and daddy out!)
Tomorrow I have an OB checkup and hopefully we can go ahead and schedule a date for inducing! Corbin will be here before we know it!
I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend!

The End Is Near!
Yesterdays doctor appointment was a great one! I am dilated to a whopping 1 cmm and effaced at 60%...because of Devin possibly being a large baby the doc went ahead and scheduled an inducing for next Thursday! She is afraid to let him get much bigger. I can hardly believe that this is actually coming to an end! Next Tuesday is my last day at work, Wed. I will be admitted into labor and delivery and Thursday morning at 5am they will induce me. We will let everyone know when our little bundle arrives, wish us luck!
PS-Have a very Happy Easter!
