Familyroom Mini Makeover

Do you ever look around a room in your home and think BLAH. I love our family room, it is warm and cozy but lacks something. We bought our lamps when we moved in our home four years ago... I have been less than satisfied with them lately but on a trip to Michael's I found some beaded fluffy stuff and grabbed the hot glue gun and did this...
On one of my wandering trips to Hobby Lobby I found some great remnant fabric super cheap... When we bought our couch and love seat they came with three VERY ugly pillows...
So I cut open the pillows for the stuffing and made new pillows... (yes I do know the picture is bad)

I still had tons of fabric so I looked around the family room trying to find a "need" for it. I am borderline fanatical about baby proofing the house and we have these ugly lamp cord shortening thing-a-majigs...

So I took them off and made cord covers and they look so much prettier!

Then the other night my mom and I were at WalMart and I found these great pillows for $5 a piece!!! I wouldn't even be able to make these pillows that cheap! (again poor picture quality)

Now I need to make a window covering for our back door and once that is done I will post complete pics of the room to get some feedback.
